How to place torque limitation on Servo Drives A2 and B2?
How to place torque limitation on Servo Drives A2 and B2?

Introduction

The torque limit can be used in position (PT), (PR) or speed (S) mode. This limitation can be determined by internal parameters or via the analog input.

Enabling torque limiting

With the aid of ASDA-Soft, follow the steps below.

1. Open the Initial Parameter Wizard.

2. Select P1-01 the desired control mode (PT, PR, T, S.…).

3. Select the Internal Speed / Torque tab.

4. Enable the torque limitation by setting P1-02 = 1.

5. Adjust the values corresponding to the combination of the DIs.

6. Set two entries as Torque Command Selection. The combination of the state of these two inputs will define the desired torque. See the table below:

Tip: If you want the torque limitation to always be the same without the need to switch the DIs, set one of the inputs to NC.

Example: If you parameterize DI3 as NF (0x117) that corresponds to the value of TCM0 and DI4 as NA (0x16), the percentage torque value that is in P1-12 will automatically assume.

Observation: If none of the inputs (TCM0 and TCM1) are active and there is no external analog signal, the torque value will be 0% and when any movement is triggered on the drive, it will show AL009.
